I decided to compare Horacio Ramirez to the 5th starters on the AL Wildcard winners since 2001 just to see how bad of an option he is at the end of the rotation. Here is what I found:

2004: Boston: Bronson Arroyo: 10-9, 4.03, 1.22, 8.51 H/9, .86 HR/9, 2.37 BB/9, 7.15 K/9
2005: Boston: Wade Miller: 4-4, 4.95, 1.57, 9.49 H/9, .79 HR/9, 4.65 BB/9, 6.33 K/9
2006: Detroit: Zach Miner: 7-6, 4.84, 1.42, 9.68 H/9, 1.06 HR/9, 3.10 BB/9, 5.71 K/9

I get the feeling we should have saved some of the offense from today for tomorrow...We're gonna need all the runs that we can get...Hopefully if Ho "riffically Bad" Ramirez does bad again tomorrow this will be his last start as a Mariner...My gut, however, tells me he could do bad and the Mariners will still let him pitch until September call ups...LETS JUST HOPE OUR OFFENSE KEEPS UP THE TORRID PACE IT'S BEEN ON LATELY AND GIVES HO "HO HO HOLY HELL" RAMIREZ THE SAME RUN SUPPORT WE USUALLY GIVE HIM...
We're facing Matt Garze who beat the Mariners last time he pitched against us. We definitely will need that offense.
I hope that the Twins get out to a big lead on us tonight and chase Ho "rifyingly bad" Ramirez after two innings and 6 runs...Then we make a comeback to win 7-6...This would be the best case scenario for us...It might be the final nail in the coffin for the terrifying excuse for a pitcher that is HoRam...
Ramirez looked decent today
Horacio "Always Gets Some O" Ramirez pitched well enough today to save his job in the rotation...Let's hope he can keep this up...I'm not getting my hopes up though...However, you won't see my making an arguement to keep him from pitching if he gets hot...I'll leave that up to Dave at USS Mariner...
